Irina Patterson  was a medical doctor and tech PR executive in the past. Irina’s current passion is entrepreneurship. She is one of volunteer ambassadors for the global initiative 1M/1M that Sramana Mitra launched out of Silicon Valley to offer free online guidance to entrepreneurs working to reach their first $1 million in revenue. Irina is based in Miami, Florida, and focuses her entrepreneurship development efforts on the Southeast of the United States and on Russia, the country she grew up in. Irina is also in charge of seed financing research and development within 1M/1M, so she often dives into the world of angel investing and records her conversations with angels. Irina records her personal 1M/1M journey here, on her blog.

Your post is very interesting. I like the bartering idea. I have been a legal assistant for most of my working life and I am now retired. I am just starting an ESL business and would like to take it into the stratosphere with new ideas. Hope to hear from you.

    I live in North Miami.

    Hi Irma,

The best way to start is to ask a very specific question. You can do it right here.

Also, I highly recommend to attend our online strategy roundtable: http://www.sramanamitra.com/entrepreneurship-strategy-roundtables/ and listen and learn, it gives you a good idea what it takes to succeed and you can go from there.

    Hi Maher,

Glad to hear from you. And, just like with Irma, I urge you to ask very specific question about your business, so I can help you to navigate your road to success. Cheers! Irina

Another suggestion I have for everyone who wants to get up to speed in their new business development is, start here: http://www.sramanamitra.com/entrepreneurship-stra

Start attending every Thursday 1M1M online strategy roundtables to hear what other entrepreneurs are doing and most importantly to hear Sramana's feedback on their business development.

From those regular discussions you will learn a lot and you will be able to ask questions very specific to your own business in real time via chat board.

    Hi Irina

I am impressed by your initiative. Right now I do preparation for new start up based on Russian scientist technology to be launched. I just have registered to the next webinar. What kind of addressed support do you offer besides that? I am mostly interested in marketing/positioning/enter-the-market issues.

Edgar Grant Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 12:23 PM PT

    Edgar,

If you registered to attend our weekly strategy roundtables here http://www.sramanamitra.com/entrepreneurship-stra… you did the right step. It will help you to understand our entire support system for entrepreneurs. You can ask any questions at the end of each live session that will help you to get started on the right path of your business development.

And when you feel that you've done enough research and well prepared, register to present your business to Sramana for her feedback at one of these strategy roundtables. You will receive additional guidance on your marketing/positioning/enter-the-market strategy for your business. Cheers! — Irina

Hi Irina – I want to push the Andy Sack interview out to our audience, but the third page of the interview is not linked to page 1 and 2 yet, so you can't get to page 3 or 4, except from page 1. Could you check on that, please? I don't want to push it out before the links are fixed. Thank you!!
