Sramana: What were some of the major lessons learned between the time you left Axon Group and joined Eliza? Alexandra Drane: I left CDI to start Axon which was a value capital company. Alexandra Drane: We founded Tesseract with the idea that we would use Web-enabled functionality to help with injury tracking. Sramana: What path did you take from that upbringing? Alexandra Drane: Throughout high school and my early college years I would work in my dad’s startups. He invested in a lot of technology companies and startups in the local area. I was a complete slacker in high school, and I went primarily to have fun.

Sramana: Aside from your virtual PBX product, what else are you doing with your business? Mamoon Rashid: We have two separate business divisions. One is the virtual PBX, which primarily targets small businesses. On the other side we have long distance. We have made significant improvements and are able to offer additional technologies for consumers.

Sramana: What are some of your other online marketing strategies? Siva Sanmuga: We still do a lot of our marketing through Google. Keyword marketing is something that is very proven for our business. We are now doing content marketing as well, which involves banner ads. We have done some marketing on social media but we
Sramana: How do you feel about Skype being acquired by Microsoft? Siva Sanmuga: They will probably use Skype to go after very large enterprises since that seems to be their primary focus.
