As for pitches, first up, we had Mohit Walia, from Noida, India, pitch Kitchens On Rent, an innovative concept for leveraging spare capacity in restaurant kitchens. Mohit is a Zomato alum and has just launched his business.

T2India
Next, we had Sutanu Banerjee from New Delhi, India, pitch T2India, a BPO service catering to tour operators. The company is doing over a million dollars in annual revenue, and is looking for growth strategies.

Roundtable Recap: January 16 – Spotlight on Entrepreneurship in Central Europe

During this week’s roundtable, we had as our guest Ondrej Bartos, General Partner at Credo Ventures based in Prague, focused on investing in Central European startups. Their major success story is UiPath in robotics process automation that has raised $265 million at a $3 billion valuation. UiPath has over 2,100 customers and claims to have annual revenues of $150 million. We discuss the Romanian company in some detail.

Roundtable Recap: January 3 – Excellent Global Entrepreneur Pitches To Kick Off The New Year

During this week’s roundtable, the first of 2019, we worked on three wonderful pitches, and had a productive discussion on each. All three entrepreneurs are serious, realistic, receptive, and thus, the discussions were meaningful and impactful.

Astreal
First up, we had Prateeksha Satyamoorthy from Bangalore, India, pitch Astreal, a virtual tradeshow platform that I suggested she repositions. Listen to the discussion to learn what a repositioning exercise looks like.

Vyllage
Then Laura Borland from Sunrise, Florida, pitched Vyllage, an app to create local receivers of packages that normally get left on porches, leading to theft. Excellent idea, great value proposition!

During this week’s roundtable, I gave some very tough feedback to the entrepreneurs, and to my great satisfaction, they took it and I think, it made a difference. “Bitter pill to swallow,” said Sameeran Amarnath, but he did swallow it.

First up, we had Anand Shiralkar from Pune, India, pitch Rian, a Computer Aided Translation tool.

Sudofire
Next, we had Anshul Arora from Gurugram, India, pitch Sudofire, a rapid website development tool that is being leveraged to run a Do It For Me (DIFM) web development agency. The tool enables Sudofire to develop websites in 20 minutes. We discussed customer acquisition and working capital strategies.

Then, we had Johana Forero from Bogata, Colombia, pitching Bancalimentos, a social enterprise catering to rural consumers, buying their trash with points, and letting them redeem the points for products. The company is also already profitable.
