Sramana Mitra: Is this a venture-funded company? Is it a self-financed company? What is the financial structure of the company?
Brian Morin: Another interesting case about us as a 34-year-old company is that the founder was able to get into the space where there were very low barriers to entry. He’s been able to maintain ownership of the company. There is no private equity backing the company. There is no VC backing. This is a privately-owned company owned by the founder. That’s just not something that you would ever see again in this day and age. The barriers to entry are just way too high for someone to accomplish that.
Sramana Mitra: How big is the company?
Brian Morin: We don’t disclose the size of the company.
Sramana Mitra: The information we have is that it’s a $5 million plus company. That’s pretty much what we’re going to report.
Brian Morin: We certainly do far better than $5 million a year.
Sramana Mitra: Then we’ll report this as a $5 million plus company in the absence of any other information. It probably misrepresents your size.
Brian Morin: We don’t disclose and that’s for the founder and owner as a privately-owned company. If you were speculating, I can give you full assurance that we’re doing far better than $5 million.
Sramana Mitra: I’m not speculating. This is part of process of screening.
Brian Morin: I want to give you something but, unfortunately, I don’t know what I can give you in a range. I will reach out to the founder if we can disclose a bit more.
Sramana Mitra: No problem. Thank you for your time.
