Roundtable Recap: July 10 – Beware of Free Loaders!

Today’s roundtable had three pitches and some additional Q&A.

First up, Neelam Chakrabarty from California pitched Yoyochimp, a marketplace and community for parents to connect with children’s camps and activities. Neelam says that she has 100 parents and 40 providers as part of her validation process, and that the providers are complaining about having to pay 10% of their revenues to competitors. Well, either they have to pay a subscription fee or a transaction fee, and if they are willing to pay neither, then there is no business here. I am repeatedly irritated by consumers and businesses expecting to get value free of charge these days. Annoying as hell!

EZeeAssess.com
Next Manish Arora from Indore, India, pitched EZeeAssess.com, a test creation and management tool that he is already selling in the Indian market to about 10 paying customers. It would be exciting to scale the business to the next level, and it is eminently scalable to $1 million a year.
