During this week’s roundtable, we had as our guest J. Paul Haynes, CEO at eSentire, who shared his company’s journey in building a mid-market Cyber Security company from Canada. He also gave us an overview of the Toronto-Waterloo corridor and its startup activities. Then we went to the pitches.

Up first, Chandra Arora from Bangalore, India, pitched Toep, a charger for phones that he has developed a prototype for in college. Chandra needs to either learn how to build a business himself, or partner with someone who knows how.

Up first, Shivanesh Shunmugam from Chennai, India, pitched DAVOVI, a portal for ICT products and services providers. The company has some paying clients but is growing slowly. We discussed acceleration levers and strategies.

Then Akshay Sachdeva from Melbourne, Australia, pitched Growth Wizards, a ‘productized’ services firm focused on content marketing. Akshay had several positioning questions that we went over.
