Meanwhile, I still am an old fashioned enthusiast for live music, and on Wednesday, we went to Yoshi’s to listen to the Count Basie Orchestra for some standard Jazz. The surprise of the evening was a young woman from Oakland, Ledisi, whose huge voice brought back memories of
Ella Fitzgerald. If Jazz is your genre, do keep an eye out for her, online, or better yet, in person.
I believe, she sings often at the two Yoshi’s clubs in Oakland and San Francisco.
