Sramana: You really got some high quality investors. It’s great to have folks that will help you build a company. You originally started the company with four people. How has the team evolved?
Andrew Gazdecki: The team is here in San Francisco. We are growing rapidly and we just got done hiring 10 people in the last two months. We are planning to expand the company rapidly. We just expanded into Japan recently. The next steps for the company will be to continue revenue growth. Global expansion is how we are going to achieve that.
Sramana: What type of marketing strategies do you apply today for customer acquisition?
Andrew Gazdecki: It is very similar to what we did in the past as well. We still get on the phones and cold call. We still do modest search engine marketing as well. We have a sales oriented culture at this company. We have 5 people on our telesales team. We also place a huge emphasis on customer service and we have 15 people on that team.
Sramana: Obviously your reseller network brings in a lot of business.
Andrew Gazdecki: That network is definitely fueling a lot of our growth.
Sramana: Talk about your executive team. Who is doing what?
Andrew Gazdecki: Of the four initial friends that I brought on one is the COO, one is the VP of Operations, one is the VP of Business Development and the fourth one is the CTO of the company. We have not hired anyone with a big resume. I have always felt that to keep our culture that we will look for attitude and someone that fits in our team.
Sramana: What is your experience working in San Francisco right now. San Francisco is going through a bit of a bubble with mobile apps. What is the talent war like?
Andrew Gazdecki: I think we are one of the most fun companies to work for. Our platform is used by thousands of people per day. It is exciting because when you work here you are working on stuff that will be used by thousands instantly. We have a great work environment. There are large companies looking for top tier engineering talent but we have not had too much of an issue finding the right folks. We are just a kick ass company that looks for talented employees.
